Meet Ken Klak

As an IT specialist, having the technical, business, and interpersonal skills Ken has can be a rarity and his peers and customers always appreciate the ease with which Ken can educate and communicate complex data analytics scenarios. Being able to understand customer needs and providing timely and effective solutions is what sets Ken apart from the rest.

Like ReconInsight, I’m a stern believer that data analytics is the forefront of business decision making. It is incredibly rewarding to help a customer discover elements of their business data they can leverage to meet and exceed their business goals.

Ken Klak has over 35 years of experience as a programmer, researcher, team leader, business analyst, data analyst, and IT consultant. He graduated from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Computer Systems Technology. Among his peers, Ken has earned a reputation as a ‘jack of all trades’ with a great breadth of knowledge in both IT process and technique, as well as business acumen.

Ken met Kevin Fedorak while working at Saville, a telecom billing software company. They both later moved on to work at Ceon, in Denver, where they met Chris Reitter. After Ceon, Chris and Kevin went on to found ReconInsight in 2006 and Ken went back to Canada. In November 2007, Chris and Kevin reached out to Ken and asked him to join their team - and the rest is history!

When asked about the positive impact Ken has had on ReconInsight, Chris said, “Ken cares deeply about our customers and our organization - he will always go above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied. Ken also has a unique ability to research a difficult topic and unearth the best possible technical solution.” Chris continues, “He is also the most humble person I have ever met, we are lucky to have him at ReconInsight.”

Back in the 80s, Ken was a competitive Christmas cubicle participant. “I had the dubious distinction of winning best single cubicle, double cubicle, and group cubicles in three consecutive years.”

Ken lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with his wife, Lorelei. They have 4 children, 2 from each of their previous marriages. They both love to travel and golf as often as they can. In his free time, Ken’s next personal challenge will be learning to play his cigar box guitar!
